He is the best
Pretty long set-up, but good action to start in Norfolk. Then long set-up for South Pacific strike. Nice description of Pacific and islands, Port Moresby, New Guinea not sounding attractive in story. Nice underwater activity throw in to story as well as ground assault.
Another winner from Randy Wayne White. As with all the Hawker books - pretty straight forward - good guy kills bad guy - nuff said. Pretty short and a fast read...hard to set down.
Randy Wayne White's Doc Ford series is one of my all time favorites after Travis McGee. Unfortunately, this series must have been written when he was in the tenth grade. Why not not edit and update this tripe so that it approaches his true ability. I don't get it. And I won't read any more of it.
A one man vigilante conquers them all. As a one man army, Hawker destroyers all the bad guy criminals with vicious action and extremely heavy weapon and explosive methods. The story is typical of the other Hawker series books. This one has an interesting location.
Having read almost all of what Randy Wayne White has written I had to read this series when it reappeared. They are fun, quick reads but kind of expensive for the short time it takes to read them. IMHO, they should have published two or three of them in a 'collection' book as they are more of a short story than a 'whole' book on their own.
I liked the book, have been reading this authors books a long time. I like the action and covert assaults on bad people.
I get disappointed when the author repeats descriptions of the weapons Hawker uses. They are word for word. I remember what the weapons do, don't need it repeated. Seems like lazy writing.
I am working my way through this series. I started off reading the marine biologists' books. Was drawn to them by my cousin and liked that I knew of the geography he wrote about. Would recommend to anyone that likes action packed stories of covert justice.
